About Polam Hall School

Polam Hall provides an environment which is supportive and stimulating, caring and challenging. Our students’ ambitions are encouraged and developed, wherever their talents may lie.

Academic Excellence

A non-selective school, Polam Hall offers an education for all, confident that each child can achieve his or her potential. Students of all ages are encouraged to aim high and to maintain excellent standards.

Girls up to the age of 16 enjoy the well-demonstrated benefits that single-sex teaching affords. They have a ‘can-do’ mentality and are encouraged to have high expectations and aspirations.

With the confidence and assurance that an all-girls’ education provides, students progress to our co-educational Sixth Form. Excellent academic opportunities, independence, and the chance to take on posts of responsibility are part of the Sixth Form experience. The school’s academic strengths are confirmed by the high proportion of students securing University places of their choice and by the impressive range of courses and professions they go on to pursue.

All-round success and opportunity

A broad, well balanced range of subjects is offered with an exciting range of visits and activities complementing academic studies at all stages. Music, Sport and Drama play an integral role within the curriculum throughout the school, encouraging the students to develop teamwork and leadership skills and helping them to grow in confidence.

Our students have the opportunity to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme, self defence classes, community projects and much more.

Small classes and individual care

From 3 to 18, Polam Hall students enjoy the benefits of small classes in which their individual needs are met. Our pupils are well known and we take pride in practising a flexible approach which allows us to focus on each and every student.
