How do we arrange a visit to the school
If you are unable to visit on a specific Open Day, we are happy to show you around school on any day to suit your convenience. There is a great deal to be gained by seeing the school on a normal working day. We are a phone call away and the arrangements can soon be made for you to visit the junior and/or senior school and to meet with the Head. Visits to the school are without any obligation.
Our main Open Day is held in October each year.

How often do you have Open Days?
We have a main Open Day in October each year where parents and children are invited to join the Head, staff and pupils and look around the school. This happens on a Saturday. The whole school, from Early Steps Nursery to Sixth Form, is open.
In January we hold a Senior School and Sixth Form Open Evening. In late Spring or early Summer term we hold a Junior School Open Day, usually on a week day. The Junior School incorporates Early Steps Nursery, the Infant and Junior Departments. The dates of these Open Days are posted on the website.

Does my child need to take an entrance exam?
We are a non-selective school. However, for entry into the Senior School and Sixth Form, we do ask new students to take entrance exams so that we are able to place them in the relevant group and have a bench mark against which we can assess her/his development.
At 11+, GCSE and Sixth Form the entrance examinations also serve as the Scholarship examinations.
Do co-ed schools prepare better for real life?
A single sex school doesn’t mean a single sex life. In a girls’ only environment your daughter can develop at her own pace, perhaps succeed in traditional boys’ subjects, have experience of leadership, make mistakes and form strong friendships free from the pressures and distractions that the presence of boys brings. Most girls’ schools have social, sporting or academic links with boys’ schools so she can, in the words of a very successful young woman “keep boys as a hobby”!
