Inspection Reports

Independent Schools are inspected regularly by the Independent Schools Inspectorate, who are accredited by Ofsted. Foundation stage and boarding are subject to further and specific inspections, all overseen by Ofsted.

The 2006 Report offered the following judgements: -

The curriculum is well planned and the balance of time between subjects is appropriate.

Pupils are highly articulate

The range of extra-curricular activities is particularly wide.

The mutual respect and friendship between the overseas and British pupils is a model of what a global community should be.

Preparation for higher education and future careers is thorough and well-developed through a carefully planned programme.

Pupils leave as well rounded individuals with high personal standards and a practical concern for those less fortunate than themselves; they also show an unusual degree of initiative and enterprise.

The school’s aim of developing the whole person, encouraging breadth of interests and setting high expectations results in high standards in a range of sporting and cultural activities, particularly given the size of the school.
