Sport

All Junior forms have at least two Games/ P.E./Dance sessions per week.

In the Autumn Term boys participate in rugby and cross country, whilst girls participate in cross country, netball, gymnastics and dance.
Boys rugby club and girls netball club are available as lunchtime and after school activities. In addition, there is a Orienteering club run by CLOK (cleveland orienteering club), Karate afterschool, Football Coaching at lunchtime, Golf, Dance and Zumba for Y6 up.

In the Spring Term swimming begins. Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 visit the Dolphin Centre each week. The boys focus switches to football with some badminton. Girls play netball and pop lacrosse and participate in dance and gymnastics.

In the Summer term the boys play cricket and the girls participate in rounders. Boys and girls have lessons in tennis and short tennis. Athletics lessons are carried out by all pupils in preparation for Sports Day.
Extra curricular activities for juniors in Spring and Summer terms include tennis, netball, cricket and orienteering.

At the end of the Summer term boys & girls in Years 5 and 6 have the opportunity to take part in an outdoor activity weekend.

Years 5 and 6 compete against all the local State and Independent schools in netball, rugby, football, cross country, tennis, rounders and swimming. In Year 4 they compete in cross country, netball, rounders and swimming.
