Old Scholars

Polam Hall Old Scholars' Association (PHOSA) was founded in 1894, and is run by past pupils of the school. Members maintain the close friendships forged at the school by keeping in touch with news of fellow old scholars, and meeting regularly throughout the year at various social events held at the school and across the UK.

PHOSA is a Registered Charity in its own right (No. 1058652). In addition to our social network, a key object of the Association is to advance the education of those current pupils attending Polam Hall in Darlington in particular, but not exclusively, by the provision of annual awards and the provision of other educational and recreational facilities. You can read more about our annual Good Cause, and the bursaries, and awards that we provide on our Good Cause page.

PHOSA publish a newsletter twice a year, sent out by email and in the post. Any PHOSA members who aren't on our mailing list and would like to be, or who have lost touch with us, can send their name, dates of attendance at the school, email address and postal address to phosa@polamhall.com

Old Scholars' Weekend is fast approaching on Friday 18 and Saturday 19 June 2010 - see the Dates For Your Diary page for full details.

What are you doing now? There is an invitation to any old scholar who wishes to take part in a “potted history” piece, to be published on the PHOSA website. Tell us about your life during and after school and University; what are you doing now? Are you married and have children? Please remember to include your name with your information.

Any Facebook members can visit our PHOSA Facebook page and group for updates on events and to contact current members.
