Swine Flu Update
SWINE FLU UPDATE 25TH SEPTEMBER 2009
As the number of cases is again on the increase, we will keep this area of the site regularly updated
Q: What do I do if my child has swine flu?
- follow national guidelines. Telephone 0800 1513100 or 0800 1513513
- stay away from school until all symptoms have cleared
- keep siblings away as a precaution
Q: Will the school remain open?
School will follow the DCSF and NHS guidelines. At present this means:
• We will remain open unless staffing reaches unsafe levels
If we do need to close
- the boarders will be looked after on a staff rota
- website will be used to keep everyone informed
- pupils will be able to access some work from the website
Q: What can we do to help?
Encourage heightened awareness of hygiene
- regular and thorough handwashing
- careful use and disposal of tissues/handkerchieves
