Religious Studies

Welcome to the challenging and fascinating subject that is Religious Studies!

As Religious Studies is concerned with individuals, groups and societies we try to foster a positive and informed attitude about different belief systems.

However here at Polam Hall we do not just study religion, but also try to unpick the big questions and issues it raises.

Inevitably, Religious Studies can be very controversial as this subject addresses different perspectives on religious, personal and moral issues. However, with controversy comes challenge! As a department we aim to provide a varied and stimulating Programme of Study, loosely following the Darlington Agreed Syllabus.

Through studying religion, students have the opportunity to develop a range of transferable skills that will allow them to approach new situations and learning opportunities.
