Why not discover your voice with Polam’s Debating Squad?

Formal debating is a fun way to learn to express yourself at the same time as thinking on your feet and responding to what other have to say too. If you are in Upper Five or the Sixth Form why don’t you join us on Monday after school in the Library?

Once again this year the school squad has entered the English-Speaking Union's "Schools Mace" National Debating Competition. This is a prestigious competition from which many of today's journalists, businessmen, lawyers, broadcasters and politicians acquired their skills! Team members learn to prepare arguments and evidence before proposing or opposing a motion against teams from other schools.
