Music
Our small class sizes provide an ideal environment for the committed musician who wishes to explore the many and varied aspects of this fascinating subject. To a large extent the course can be adapted to suit the individual interests of each student.
At present we follow the AQA specification which provides opportunities to perform, compose and analyse a wide variety of music. We can explore the classical style of Beethoven, listen to sacred choral works and discover the fascinating jazz techniques of such musical giants as Fats Waller and Miles Davis.
Students Playing Sax
All AS and A Level students are encouraged to take an active part in the musical life of the school, for ensemble performances contribute so much to the aural demands of the course.
