Polam Hall School
Structure
Essentially the school is organised in five stages.
The Foundation Stage - Nursery to Reception. Here our girls and boys in the Nursery follow the Early Years curriculum enjoying both indoor and outdoor classrooms.
The Infant Stage - Years 1 and 2. The emphasis is on helping our children enjoy their learning in a stimulating, safe and creative environment.
The Junior Stage - Years 3 to 6. All of our Junior pupils are taught by subject specialists . The use of school facilities including laboratories and the theatre enhances their learning.
The Senior Stage - Years 7 to 11. Here the boys and girls are taught separately. The students are helped to become increasingly independent and confident learners. All students have the support of a Form Teacher and a Shadow Form Tutor, helping to ensure continuity of pastoral care.
The Sixth Form Stage - Years 12 and 13. Our students are prepared for the next stage of life. Our sixth formers choose their Personal Tutors who guide them through all areas of the sixth form journey, including UCAS or other applications.
