Teaching and Learning

We are committed to providing the best possible quality of Teaching and Learning for all our students.

Our Teaching and Learning policy is based on our core aim of helping each individual achieve to her or his full potential.

The School curriculum is subject to continuous monitoring and review, in order to ensure that we are meeting the needs of each new generation of students.

The School has a strong culture of sharing best practice. Colleagues all undertake regular lesson observations and departmental development plans are reviewed annually.

Our highly qualified, enthusiastic and dedicated staff are encouraged to be life-long learners themselves. A strong Professional Development and Inset programme ensures that staff are kept up to date and helped to be innovative in their approach.

We are specialists in educating girls, and our teaching, throughout the 5 to 16 stage, is geared to their strengths and needs.

Our teaching takes account of different learning styles and of the importance of skilful differentiation.

Age-appropriate provision is made for our most and least able learners. We aim to ensure that all our students are stretched, supported and stimulated.

Pupil feedback is sought and informs planning and development.
